It's My Turn!

Tomorrow, I begin a challenge to earn $10,000 in 10 days.

It’s a challenge that has literally kept me awaken in excitement. (It’s 4am.)

I’ve been unknowingly planning how I’d reach this goal for years now. Last week, I completed Rachel Rodger’s book, We Should all be Millionaires and after revisiting a journal entry I made 4 years ago, I knew it was time.

Time to move in the confidence I consistently display online. Time to ask all the questions I encourage you to ask. Time to unapologetically enter the room. Time to loudly announce my presence. Time to put it out there. Time to double my rates. Time to be wealthy.

Why am I doing this? Because the best excuse I have is still not a good enough reason to abandon self.

I’m using this challenge to work through imposter syndrome. I know who I am, and I’m great at what I do. I have educational credentials and unmatched experience in the real world. I’m a talented business owner, a branding expert, designer and media strategist, a performing artist, a photographer, a travel advisor, a wellness advocate, a DIYer, a coach…And yet some of those closest to me don’t know half of these things.

I have generated multiple streams of income, I lack no essentials, AND my goal is to thrive. We aren’t living if we are only surviving. I have been giving away my time and knowledge in the vain of helping others create the life they love and the cost has been great. Although mentally and spiritually rewarding (my knowledge pocket is full), my bank account does not reflect the return on the investment I’ve made in my clients. I have no one to blame but myself. I will no long sell Rhyan short at the expense of seeing others win. That’s stops here.

I owe myself the life I envision - the life I so carefully help others to create. My desire to help others win is even stronger now and comes with greater opportunity costs. Those who know their worth have no need to gate keep, so I’m spilling the tea.
